Preflight facts
- Record the site owner and approved maintenance window.
- Identify the exact PLC family, CPU/firmware, network segment and allowed protocol.
- Agree a read-only tag list and polling limits with the controls engineer.
- Record gateway identity, certificates, time sync and expected connectivity.
- Rehearse with simulation or a test system before onsite commissioning.
Acceptance
Prove identity, units, quality, freshness, alarm behavior and historian continuity with a witnessed test pack. A saved gateway configuration alone is not proof of a live connection.
