Confirm your site, role and source revision. Follow the local procedure and responsible engineer for physical actions.
Mapping record
- Capture the source address and device revision.
- Name the physical quantity and engineering unit, not only the raw register.
- Record scale, offset, precision, expected range and timestamp source.
- Compare at least two known operating points with a trusted local indication.
- Document bad, stale, disconnected and simulated quality behavior.
Change control
Any addressing, scaling or unit change should create a reviewed revision. Do not silently edit a live tag because a chart looks wrong.
